The Natural Gas Society of East Texas Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student who has declared his major in the energy industry field. This scholarship will be awarded to a female East Texas graduating senior who plans to major in business in college. This scholarship will be awarded to dependent children of ordained Baptist ministers serving congregations in Smith County, Texas, that are members of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. High school applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in his/her high school. Preference will be given to applicants who have attended high school in East Texas. The core value of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils is that the team concept of estate planning best serves the client. This scholarship may be awarded to a student who demonstrates the motivation to pursue a career in one of the primary disciplines engaged on the estate planning team. Applicant must have participated in varsity athletics for the academic year in which they apply and graduate from high school. The purpose of the Gladys and Thomas âT.B.â Stewart Scholarship is to provide educational scholarships for graduates from Smith County area high schools. High school applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of at least a 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in his/her high school. The recipient must have achieved a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale in her high school studies. Applicant must have achieved a minimum GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0) scale in her high school. Recipient must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in his or her high school. Applicants must have actively participated in one of the performing or visual arts such as band, choir, dance, orchestra, theater arts, or visual art while in high school. Applicant must a graduating senior from a public, private, or home school in Smith County. Financial need may be considered in the selection process but is not required. Applicant must be a graduating senior from a public, private, or home school in Smith County, Texas. The recipient must have achieved a minimum GPA of at least a 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in his/her high school.
